Another year of my life has come to a close, with another one beginning. As of 12:45 P.M., I’ll be 33, and I feel good about that. I also feel good as I reflect back upon the previous year-for what I’ve accomplished and what progress I’ve made towards goals.
- I started out the year as a volunteer for my association, simply designing and writing the newsletter. Now I’m a board member. I didn’t plan on becoming a member because of all the conflict I saw at meetings-and behind the scenes-but now I’m glad I did. I also have really good neighbors. (:
- I learned how to unstick my garbage disposal. And to think that people actually call the plumber for this!
- I got two tickets. Good grief…. Warning to those who live near the Laguna Hills Mall. The cops do patrol there…
- I learned that people besides work acquaintances and family like my cards-and are willing to pay for them!! Meaning, I enrolled in more than one craft show.
- I went to two weddings. One for my neighbor and the other, my cousin.
- I’ve started to budget. It’s amazing how much you spend once you write it down!
- I started this blog… (:
- I went to my great-aunt’s 90th birthday party and connected with a family member who makes gorgeous cards herself.
- I’ve learned that cleaning never ends. (:
- I stepped out of my shell and helped serve the homeless at a friend’s church.
- I’ve learned that photography is fun when you get out there and experience life to capture those memories.
- I’ve learned that sometimes we just need to move on and be done with things.
- I’ve learned that things aren’t always as neatly packaged as they may seem.
- And that’s okay….
I have lots of plans for myself this year. One of my first ones should be to get myself a digital camera!!
